Our Story
Walking into the grounds for the first time in 2019 we knew Bryn Ffynnon cottage was really special. The seclusion, unique location facing East and and overlooking the majestic Hell’s mouth bay, and the magical atmosphere of surrounding area of historic Mynydd Rhiw.
Stunning views were exposed only in the last few years since the National Trust felled the forest and replanted with native species. The native saplings grow beyond the garden towards the bay. So every year the view changes.
A handful of owners have looked after Bryn Ffynnon since the Owen family first built the two adjoining cottages in 1878, which now make up a single cottage.
Growing up in North Wales and regularly taken up Yr Eryri (Snowdon) as children, we’ve come to know and love the Llyn Peninsula only more recently. The endless variety and mystery of the peninsula mean you never finish getting to know the area, there is always more to discover.
